It can sometimes be difficult to find the “perfect” book to read.  These sites will help.

Premier’s Reading Challenge Book Lists

Choose a reading level then to select a Genre. There are more genres to choose from if you click on Show More.

This site can also be used to log on and add books to your PRC record.





The Search option on this site allows the user to search for books based on theme, age range, genre and category. We have a subscription for the school community. Our username is oxley. Contact library staff for the password: library@oxley.nsw.edu.au .

The Book Finder

Click on the BookFinder button about half way down. Booktrust is a UK site that was initially established by a group of philanthropists to advance literature over 90 years ago.

Children’s Book Council Award Winners

Not a very pretty site but it contains the lists of all the winners right back to 1946.

Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Award Winners

All the winners from the last 70 years. The Carnegie Medal is for outstanding books for children and the Kate Greenaway Award is for distinguished illustration in a book.
