Highlands Cup

Posted on September 16, 2020

Some good things have come from the COVID pandemic.

The inaugural ‘Highlands’ Cup competition was played between the Chev’ and Oxley sporting teams in the Highlands bubble. All Winter sports teams were involved over a 3 week period and most matches were very closely contested. Many matches headed to the final round with both teams having won 1 game apiece adding to the rivalry. The opening games were played on the coldest day of the year in arctic conditions and the final two rounds in beautiful spring weather.

Everyone who participated and watched enjoyed the fact both schools were just able to play and enjoy some fun and fitness. It was particularly pleasing for the Year 12 students involved to be able to play some games in their final year of school. The Highlands Cup will now be played for each year over the Summer and Winter competitions.

The final point score this year was Chevalier 184 Def Oxley 140.
