At Oxley College, we prioritise the health and wellbeing of our staff. We offer a range of wellness programs, including an onsite gym and gym coach, to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance.

We offer a free counselling service for staff should they be experiencing difficulties within the workplace, or personally.  Our commitment to staff welfare ensures that you have the support you need to thrive both personally and professionally.

The College provides work jackets and sporting clothes for staff to ensure they are warm and dry during our sporting activities.

Oxley’s Common Room supports staff with social events as well as a voice to the Senior Leadership Team to bring forward opportunities and improvements to the College. This is run by a staff appointed Head of Common Room and ensures our staff have a voice within the workplace.

Our Wellbeing Committee works with staff providing opportunities to participate in an annual survey to ensure facilities and wellbeing are continually being reviewed and implemented.

All Oxley College staff are offered free, annual, flu vaccinations.

At Oxley College, we believe in the continuous growth of our employees. Professional learning is shaped in collaboration with our Staff PL Committee, ensuring that training meets staff where they need support and is meaningful to their roles.

We provide a wide range of opportunities, including regular Middle and Senior Leadership training, as well as targeted workshops, industry conferences, and mentoring to support career advancement. Staff also receive guidance and training in completing Proficient and Accomplished Teacher Accreditation.

In addition to professional growth, we prioritise the wellbeing and preparedness of our staff. Every employee is provided with Senior First Aid and CPR training, alongside opportunities to engage in mental health training sessions, with Mental Health First Aid training available to those who wish to undertake it.

We also support staff who are pursuing further studies through the Oxley Institute, offering financial support for formal study as well as project-based initiatives for those passionate about implementing new programs and ideas in our community.

Our Centre for Ethics brings nationally and internationally renowned speakers to the College, with staff provided complimentary tickets to attend these events.

Oxley College values flexibility and understands the importance of work-life balance. We support teaching staff in managing their time on campus through ‘grey-outs’, allowing employees to designate non-teaching periods when they are not required to be present at school.

We offer appreciation days to recognise and reward the hard work of our non-teaching staff, as well as some options to work from home during non-term time, providing the flexibility needed to balance personal and professional responsibilities effectively.

Oxley College provides all necessary resources to ensure you can perform your job effectively. This includes providing laptops and other essential technology to support your work. We are focussed on new technologies including AI and are continually providing new ways to effectively work with these changes.

The Senior Staff study is a dedicated space for teachers with spacious individual desk hubs, meeting rooms along with dedicated bathroom. shower, kitchen and dining spaces.

Invigilators are used for Trial Examinations allowing staff time to mark and provide feedback for students.

All staff who coach teams are provided with a Sports Uniform for Summer or Winter at no cost, ensuring they have appropriate attire for their coaching duties.

Our before and after-school care program provides a safe and engaging environment for your children, allowing you to focus on your professional responsibilities with peace of mind. This service supports staff during pupil free days and professional learning days and is in operation from 7am – 6pm daily and during school holiday periods.

Convenient on-site parking, or close by street parking is available for all staff members. This ensures that you can easily access the campus and start your day without the stress of finding a parking spot.

Our on-campus coffee shop is the perfect place to grab a student-barista-made coffee in the mornings and connect with staff. Coffee is complimentary each morning as a thank you for being here early ready for the day ahead. Whether you need a quick caffeine fix or a place to catch up with colleagues, our Off the Shelf is a great meeting place.

Our canteen caters for breakfast, morning tea and lunch requirements with quality, healthy food options. We also provide morning tea for occasions and lunches during some professional learning sessions.
