Junior School Turning Circle Resealing Completed Over Holidays.
We’re pleased to share that the resealing of the Junior School turning circle was successfully completed and best of all, it was carried out during the school holidays to ensure zero disruption to families.
This upgrade brings several important improvements:
No more mud after rain: The newly sealed surface will prevent the muddy conditions that previously followed wet weather.
Stormwater pit rerouted: As part of the works, the stormwater pit has been rerouted to improve drainage and reduce pooling.
Cleaner, safer access: We expect the turning circle to remain clean and safe, even during heavy rain.
We’d like to thank our school community for their ongoing patience as we rectified this problem.

Kind regards

From the Oxley Empowerment Group
The Empowerment Group is currently raising funds and collecting mobile phones to support women affected by domestic violence, through the organisation DV Safe Phone. This simple yet powerful initiative provides a vital lifeline and giving women access to a phone means they have a way to reach out for help when they need it most.
Donating an old mobile phone may seem small, but it can make a huge difference in someone’s life. If you have a device you no longer use, please consider contributing. Your support helps create safer pathways and empowers women to take that crucial first step toward safety and support. Send your phone to school with the old phone and they can deposit it the collection box in the Library. We have been fundraising to pay for the refurbishment of these phones. We appreciate any help you can offer.

A Reminder of Summer Uniform Expectations
A reminder that students will return to school in Week 2, in full summer uniform.
Maintaining uniform expectations helps in fostering a sense of belonging and pride within the student body. A consistent dress code helps to minimise distractions, promote equality, and instil a sense of discipline. It ensures that students represent the school positively both within and outside the campus, reinforcing the values and standards that Oxley has upheld for many years. Parents' support in ensuring their children adhere to the uniform guidelines is invaluable in sustaining this tradition. A quick reminder of a few areas for parents and students to be aware of as we approach the break.
Students should have no radical change of hair length or colour. Recently students have arrived after holidays with drastically changed hair colour and haircuts that do not fall within our guidelines published in the College Diary. This means that the first conversation we have with students at the start of the term is a negative one. Please can you support us, by ensuring that any changes to hairstyles over the holiday are such that they are within guidelines by Day 1 of Term 4. One trend that does not meet guidelines is a fade that starts from shaved. A Grade 4 haircut for the shortest part of the hair is an appropriate starting length.
From a wellbeing perspective, I have no issue with girls using a small amount of concealer; however, school is not a fashion parade and the limits of what is uniform for girls is being pushed recently, particularly in the following areas that students should not be using:
Mascara or eye liner
Lipstick
Excessive fake tan

Head of Senior School
I look forward to welcoming our students and families back for the start of Term 4. I hope the holiday break provided time for rest, fun, and special moments together. Our students return to school with renewed energy, ready to embrace the learning and opportunities this final term of the year will bring.
Term 4 is always a vibrant and busy time in the Junior School. It is a season of both celebration and reflection, celebrating the growth and achievements of our students and reflecting on the friendships, learning and memories they have created throughout the year. We look forward to many highlights, including end-of-year events and community gatherings that bring us all together.
Our staff are committed to ensuring that every child finishes the year feeling proud of their progress, confident in their abilities and excited for the next step in their journey. I am grateful for the ongoing support of our Parents and Carers, whose partnership makes such a difference in the life of our school community.
Co-curricula will commence in Week 3 and further information will follow in Week 1. I wish everyone a wonderful Term 4, filled with joy, growth and celebration.
A reminder that all students return to Term 4 in full summer uniform. Please see the link below for a reminder of the summer uniform requirements.
